The MY Parliament Campus Ambassador programme focuses on involving young college students to become a part of change. By involving college students, MY Parliament envisions on making India a true participative democracy. The programme encourages students from different colleges all over the nation to come together and conduct several discussions and debates that will not only enhance their knowledge about the system but also make them aware on the working of Government. By the way of this program, we aim to foster an environment of active participation for the youth in our democracy and to create a platform for citizens' engagement in governance.
Activities to be undertaken by the Ambassador
Create a ‘MY Parliament’ society in their college. Society will have organogram of President, Secretary and Treasurer. They may be supported by volunteers• (1)
Engage active and enthusiastic students who are willing to work towards the goal of the MY Parliament.(2)
A MY Coffee session to be held once in a month i.e. group of at least 20-30 students discussing issues of national importance.(3)
Conduct at least one MY Parliament policy workshops in a year - engaging 30-40 students in an interactive session with a public policy expert. (4)
Conduct one MY Campus Parliament in a year* i.e. simulation of a day in LokSabha by involving 80 -100 students for observation and discussion. (5)
Promote various programs by MY Parliament on its Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms. (6)
Posters, flyers, bookmarks and other kind of promotional material for MY Parliament to be put up in colleges. (7)
Engage college students in MY Parliament national-level events. (8)
